The Frog Prince Continued is based upon a Jon Scieszka children’s picture that continues from where the take of The Frog Prince left off. A novel piece of literature, it is illustrated by Steven Johnson and was published in the US in 1991. Written in English, it is a fairy tale designed to entertain and amuse children but also exciting for adults to see, resulting in a complete family experience. The book was published by Scholastic Inc in the US and has been published in other parts of the world as well, gaining much popularity.
As with the book, the Frog Prince Continued play is a sequel to The Frog Prince. It starts off from where the frog was turned into a prince and marries the princess. The plot revolves around their relationship. The prince does nothing all day but catch flies and lie around. The princess urges him to do heroic things instead of sitting up. The prince, however, doesn’t want to so he runs away. This is where the story truly begins to unfold.
